Not far from the popular bathing beach Storesand, you will find the neighboring beach Ørekroken.

The beach zone, with its 500 meters of fine sand and many fine shells, is shallow and very child-friendly. The beach is one of East Norway's most popular areas for windsurfers and kiters, who can often be seen behind the buoys.

Ørekroken is part of the Kyststien på Kirkøy – a varied and fine hiking trail that moves through historical landmarks, and which leads out to Rødshue and the sculpturepark.
