Galleries and Art on The Hvaler Islands

Hvaler has a vibrant art scene with small and large galleries spread across the archipelago. Several of the galleries are run by artists themselves, and many are open all or part of the year.

In Kunstgaten at Hvaler Town Hall you can experience professional contemporary art in the middle of everyday life. Galleri Lisa Aisato in Skjærhalden shows original works and prints from one of Norway’s most famous illustrators.

There are also photographic art, watercolors, graphics and paintings – from established artists and local practitioners. Some galleries have fixed opening hours, while others are open by appointment.
