Ships dock at Tollboden Quay, located right by the Glomma River and within easy reach of the city centre and the historic Fortress Town. From the pier, guests can walk directly into town or take the free city ferries crossing the river.

Just across the water lies Gamlebyen – the Fortress Town of Fredrikstad, founded in 1567 and one of the best-preserved star-shaped fortress towns in Northern Europe. Here you will find cobbled streets, wooden houses, galleries, museums, shops and cafés inside the historic ramparts.
